FUZ-moto Scouting Michoacán, Mexico Wed Jun 24, 2020
After blowing off visiting the big head to the south and waiting for Randy to recover and spending a bit of time fixing Jerry's headlight, we
got out around 11:00am for a short day of riding.
The roads today were fantastic. Especially the loop up thru Madero near the end.
He (she?) is very proud of his brand new Vento Tornado 250 ;-)
View down into the town of Tacámbaro
The Tourist Police in Tacámbaro are very friendly and beautiful :)
After helping us park, they walked us to a nice restaurant a few blocks off the main square.
Dinner
Nice meal at Cocina Las Tarascas
Classic wood-fired tortilla warming griddle.
Hotel
Hotel Posada del Carmen is a wonderful little place right off the main square in Tacámbaro.
Calle Portal Galeana 9, Centro, 61650 Tacámbaro de Codallos, Mich., Mexico
It's hundreds of years old (like ~500) with a 400 year old roof made from hatchet-hewn wooden beams.
The proprietor's family has had it for over 150 years.
Inexpensive and authentic. I highly recommend staying there.
Old and new. I particularly like the brand name TELEFUNKEN and the 5-channel push button tuning.
