Leaving Santa Maria

Meanwhile, Jorge is driving down to Ensenada to drop off bikes

Chris making his way south in LA traffic

Driving across the border and into Tijuana

Juan Pedro carried some of Chris's luggage and Chris followed him across the USA/Mexico border. The crossing was quick and uneventful with no inspections. Not even a passport check. It was literally non-stop. Then we wound our way through Tijuana afternoon traffic to the Fairfield Inn and Suites hotel where Chris and Günther are staying for the night. Chris and Juan Pedro waited about an hour until Jorge and Günther arrived.

Out for a walk around the neighborhood of the hotel

Out for dinner at Club Campestre, Tijuana with Jorge, his wife Karla, Günther, and Juan Pedro
