Day 5, Thursday Jan 30, Vallerta to Barra de Navidad

This morning we left Vallerta and Terry left San Blas, heading for Barra de Navidad. Barra de Navidad is one of the oldest Spanish cities in Mexico founded by Antonio de Mendoza on Christmas day, 1540. On the way, we stopped in Manzanilla for lunch and to see crocodiles. We had a bit of rain, but it was light and we dried out quickly. After stopping in Barra de Navidad, Jerry and I drove another 60 km or so to Manzanillo to see the construction progress on the beach condo apartment Monica is buying.

Checking out the condo/apartment construction in Manzanillo

The apartment occupies the southern half of the 15th floor of this 19 floor tower.

Ultimately there will be 4 towers here. One is done. Monica's apartment is in the second tower. Two other towers are not yet started.

View down 15 floors of an open elevator shaft. Scary!

The views from the large balcony are astounding

Over our heads, workers are putting on the stucco and paint
