No pictures today, but I have some notes from email to Kathi.

Nicky was up at 6:45am and out before 7:00.

Today, I'm going to Google downtown. Nicky expects to be back at 3pm, then we are going back to rescue the bike. We'll go out to dinner tonight at a Mexican place she wants to try. We'll text you after dinner which will be a good time to call.

Weather yesterday was warm and very nice but a bit muggy. Fans help a lot!

Nicky left at 7:20am this morning. I'll try to summarize yesterday.

I walked to the Boulongerie down the street. Wonderful, chewy breads and big latte and an overstuffed leather couch. I sat and read papers and did calculations in my notebook for about an hour and a half while eating bread and sipping my coffee. Heaven!

Then, back to the apartment where I caught up on email. Then I get a call from Nicky saying "where are you? can you get to the school by 1:40pm, there's a show I might be able to get you in to see." So I dashed out, caught the metro, then the bus, and got to the school at 1:25pm, plenty of time. After waiting around a bit, Nicky came out and we walked over to Tohu. The show was a group of 6 people, one from ENC and 5 from the Quebec City school. The show was similar to Traces with lots of skills mashed together with music a little singing quite a bit of clowning, lots of laughs. The circus skills were very good. An excellent straps routine, lots of banquine, a bit of pole, a fair bit of juggling, some russian bar, hula hoops, hoop, and a really really good tramp wall routine. The show was the first run in front of an audience --- sort of a full dress rehearsal, but with no pauses in front of a test audience of people from the school. I'd say there were about 60--80 people in the chairs. I'm still trying to find out the name of the group. We really should see this show if we get a chance.

I texted you for a phone call when we were sitting outside waiting to go in, but you called after we were inside sitting with some fairly loud pre-show music, so Nicky declined to answer even though I asked her to. After the show, we walked with Zander and Eivand. It was really interesting hearing what they thought of the show, what they liked, what mistakes they saw, etc. Quite a perspective. Zander peeled off at Rue Papillion and we walked to Eivand's place. When Nicky was saying goodby to Eivand, I could tell they are better than "just friends" so I invited Eivand, his room-mate Yohan (straps), and the Zander house to join us for dinner later.

Then Nicky and I went home, got tools, and headed over to Zander's to work on the bike. We rebulit the clutch master cylinder and started to bleed the clutch. It didn't get solid, so we rebuilt the slave cylinder too and cleaned it up a bit. After another hour of bleeding and futzing with it, it still doesn't work. At about 6:45pm we cleaned up and ran home for dinner. Nicky got dressed up in the cool shirt you bought her and we went out to meet the guys at the Jean Talon Market. Eivand and Yohan were waiting for us. We sat and talked for about 45 minutes while we waited for to others. Just Zander and Albert (Eivand's flyer) came as Mar and the other person (name unknown to me) said they were barred from entering that restaurant(!?). We ate Mexican food and I bought weird appetizers for the table which everyone liked trying. We ate and talked for a long time. It's a good group of friends. After dinner we walked back to the station. Everyone said good-by until next school year. And we got back to the apartment about 10pm.

I tried to get Nicky to call you, but she just poked at Facebook for a few minutes and said you weren't online.

I've done some research on the clutch bleeding issue and I'm off to find a syringe, vacuum pump, clear plastic tubing, and more brake fluid. Let's see if I can get it working this morning. We are running out of time!
