Little Tail of the Dragon (318 curves in 11 miles!)
This is an amazing section of road known as Wards Ferry. Unfortunately, the road is closed indefinitely so maybe next time.
If you turn right and stay on the main magenta route, you will take small backroads to eventually connect with highway 108 above Sonora. If you take the main route, you will miss a few of today's sights (see below) and bypass the city of Sonora unless you double-back on the green route (if you are going to do that, you may as well just take the green route from this turn).
If you take the green option, you will route into Sonoroa and be able to visit the 2 sights listed below.
Jamestown Railroad Museum State Park - Turn right for 1 mile
Columbia State Park - Turn left for 6 miles (each way)
