Fri Jun 12 : AMT Day 14 [ride] Embrun → Antibes

This is the last day of the tour.

We quickly climbed into the mountains for a few high passes, popular challenges on the Tour de France.
In just 30 minutes we were into stunning views and stopping for pics in the hairpin turns.

15 minutes later, up to 2100 meters, 7000 feet, Col de Vars.
Coffee break at 2000 meters at a cafe called Halte 2000. At this break, Tomaž broke out his map and we planned a little tour extension to add a few more turns and km to our route.
Then up almost to the peak Cime de la Bonette at 9000 ft where we played in the snow for a few minutes.

This area of the French Alps has several ski areas, including Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée.
We stopped for a rather long time, I don't remember why, but I do remember it was getting warm and we shed our mountain pass layers.

Then up to Col de la Couillole with a big bicycle sculpture celebrating the Tour de France.
Welcome to Roubion where you can bike, hike, climb, and enjoy the outdoors.

We stopped for lunch at Le Passage near the intersection of D28 and D30
then headed down back towards Nice and Antibes.

Last tour day, Ebrum back to Antibes

Last tour day, Ebrum back to Antibes (4h40m 243km with an extra scenic detour from the standard tour)
