Palermo is dead quiet on Easter Sunday morning, then it turns to family partys in the street with loud music and barbeques. We tasted grilled intestine, which Chris found tasty but icky texture. Sort of like chewing steak fat and gristle with paste.
We walked though some parks, then back to the house for a nap. Chris hung our laundry outside the front door for a few hours which really helped get things drying. Then out again to the yacht club looking for the musical fountains. Didn’t find that, but there were a lot of people, dressed up nice and walking around the marina.
Then we walked through another park/garden where we played with pictures of ourselves over bust statues with missing heads. Then back up towards Via Maqueda and dinner at Muda where we had salads, bruschetta, and pizza. Then a walk back along a less crowded but still busy via Maqueda to our place.
Laundry almost completely dry. Rearranged things and went to bed.

Parco Piersanti Mattarella (Giardino Inglese) City garden designed in English style dating from 1851, with water features, sculpture & monuments.
A forest of amazing trees. I wonder when they were planted. This garden was established in 1851, 174 years ago, so they've had a chance to grow. Visit a City says the garden has "Ficus macrophylla, some ancient specimens of Cycas revoluta, small groves of Dragon Tree (Dracaena draco), fragrant blooms of Sophora secundiflora and Jacaranda mimosifolia, groves of bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris), the Australian flame tree (Brachychiton acerifolius) and the sacred banyan (Ficus benghalensis)."
These two churches are incredible. We didn't get to see inside, but there are lots of amazing pictures on Google Maps. Here is one from the inside:
and an overhead shot of the sculptures and fountain on the outside
The streets are so much quieter tonight than they were yesterday (Saturday night). It was nice to walk down Via Maqueda again with a more relaxed crowd vibe.
