A very long drive home

The rental car desk at SJC was very busy and they were very short staffed on Christmas day morning at 10:00am.
It took an hour to just pick up the pre-paid car. 30 minutes waiting in line, then another 35 minutes to get the paperwork.
The car was nice. They upgraded us to an Infinity QX30. I really liked the car.
Then I drove back to Palo Alto to pick up Kathi, say our goodbyes, and head north.

We drove almost non-stop with just one meal break at Denny's (nothing else open!) getting home about 11:30pm.
