Adriatic Motor Tours Alsace and Black Forest, Day 4 Schafhaussen Switzerland → Ribeauville France

Through a picturesque landscape we cross into Switzerland to witness Europe’s mightiest waterfall, the Rhine Falls near Schaffhausen. With a width of 150 meters, the Rhine drops (coming from Lake Constance) over the rocks from a height of 23 meters.

We leave Switzerland, heading to the Southern Black Forest, riding undulating, sweeping roads in this part of the Germany.

In the second half of the day we ride past Freiburg, crossing to France, partially connecting to the Alsace Wine Route with its picturesque villages like Ribeauville and Colmar, into the impressive Vosges Mountains, covering a large area of the Alsacian territory.

Kathi really liked the ride around two lakes and the parts through forests, but didn't care for the amount of city driving and weird intersections.
